M. Elisabeth de Gaust, DDS

Education and Experience
Dr. Elisabeth de Gaust has practiced dentistry for 15 years and joined our dental team in August of 2008. She is originally from the Gothenburgh, Sweden area. After graduating from college in 1990, where Dr. Elisabeth majored in Chemistry, she worked for two years in the laboratory at the Chemical Department of the Swedish Reaserch and Testing Institute. She then moved on to receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery after five years of dental school at the Karoliska Institute of Medicine and Odontology, a Nobel Prize nomination institute, in Stockholm, Sweden.
After graduation Dr. Elisabeth worked for two years at the Norwegian Public Dental Clinics in Trondheim, where she joined a dental group practice as one of five private contractors. In 2008, Dr. Elisabeth moved to Placerville, CA with her husband and their two little boys to become a part of the Cold Springs Dental team.
Continuing Education
To meet her goals of providing the most up-to-date dental care, Dr. Elisabeth continues her education through the Seattle Dental Study Club, where she is able to stay at the leading edge of dentistry. In addition, she is involved in national and local dental organizations.

Outside the Office
Dr. Elisabeth is married to her husband, Andrew, and they have three children, Maxwell, Alexander, and William. When she has free time, she enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, camping, and skiing. She also volunteers for Give Kids a Smile and provides free dental screenings for Head Start children.
